It started out just like any ordinary, normal day.
I get to school not totally awake but with my cup in hand, it`s a question of minutes....
As I mention in the heading, teaching is never boring and that's the main reason I enjoy it so much.
Today was not boring.
Unforgetable is a better adjective.
I have my ex-student in Sec.5 who charmingly asks me to judge the fashion show auditions ( 75 candidates ) and of course, I can' t say no when it's asked so darn nicely.
Just before:periods 2 and 3 we do our t-shirts and take a group picture downstairs.
So far so good.
I judge the fashion show with 2 of my co-workers and before I go , I accept to do tomorrow's judging for the boys' this time. And off I go to a Sec.2 meeting which I am obviously late to.
I had warned everyone of my tardiness so they weren't too surprised to see me show up.
I have 2 more periods to go so I grab a soup to go ( very practical ) and head back to my classroom.
Period 1 afternoon.
So far so good.
Period 2 afternoon at this point I' m running out of both fuel and breath but there are but minutes left, I should make it in one piece.
That's when it happened.
My Sec.2 kids were working on their Christmas skit : 'Twas The Night Before Christmas and there were just 15 minutes left in the period.
I had 2 students working very well and for a reason which would be too long to explain, they end upin my classroom closet and lock themselves in.
At first I think they are pulling my leg.
They tell me it's Edgar Allen Poe's fault because as some of you know, his spirit lives and he often likes to open the closet door with a creaking sound just to say hello.
So two minutes before the bell rings I feverishly but unsuccessfully try to pry the door open while the rest of the group surrounds me for motivation.
Some of my strong students attempt, in vain.
What do you do when everything else fails ?
You get Line.
She tries.
The girls are doing fine, not panicking at all but I certainly starting to.
Line giggles which helpslower my adrenaline-adrenaLINE- get it ?
A few minutes later, a whole group of curious come in the classroom.
Teachers.
Who do we finally fetch and eventually gets the door open ?
Joseph the maintenance man.
Bless you Joseph.
While Joe was working on the door, I remembered I had the camera in my office.
Got a lot of it on it.
At least the best part: Joseph and Georges CAron unhinging the door, pulling the door open and the girls finally getting out in one piece , blushing but smiling.
Nice going girls, you were as cool as cucumbers.
GIRL POWER !
I am so going to milk this one with these girls-they`ll have to beg me to stop teasing them about this !!!
On this I say buy lottery tickets, with your luck you may not have to go to university after all.

PS : From now on NOBODY goes in my closet-unless I put you there!!

Edgar Allan Poe ghost? Thought you had skeletons in your closet.... lol
Gosh Annie! You can be brief?!(Talking about the other post there!) That is kind of unbelievable! Just kidding! It would be a pleasure to bring some of your wonderful books a the back, but I've got to read "The Outsiders". Yeah, I know, it's a little surprising that I haven't finished it yet, but I want to read it the closest to the pseudoexam date. If i had read it already, I would have had to reread it again, and I just dislike rereading a book twice in a short period of time.
The story of the two girls locked in the closet is so funny!!! I never thought Ol'Edgar would have taken two innocent little girls!! That's funny you're talking about it, because I remember, in sec 2 when we read the black cat, the closet opened! With that so horrible noise, it was scary but fun!!! I just remember Jimmmy, he was monomaniac about that spoon in your red case. Ahh, good old days!!
(It may not seem funny while you read it, but it was!)
Hey I think we're gonna have fun for the SitCom. I just liked Friends, and so I did for Three's Company!
You know what (I'm always writing wath ¬¬)?? Jo and I had the most busy and stressful day of our lives! We had three tests in a row added to the fact that Marc Dion left to both of us the all responsibility of the Card Mail. God! He left, so he needed someone to make his things at his place! He chose us, we were glad, but it was tough though! (Isn't it weird to have those words following each other!)It was the day that everybody who forgot to send their cards sent them. Almost 700! We had to go fast and quick, but we finished at 1:30!!! We had to sign the papers for the ones who went to deliver the cards, sort the cards by group, (we were like 5 to do it! That's so little for the number of cards we had to sort!). We had many problem case! Some anonymous, some unexisting people, etc! That was a great experience though!
Hey that's great you still use my cups :P!
And I want to know something! Did you say it did matter if the logo wasn't coloured? I'm good to draw, but not that much to put colours! It would probably reduce my chances to win...
That's it for now!
P-L's out!
Sylar,
Do I have goooooood news for you!
You wouldn`t believe what I did today.Legal stuff-promise.
Tell you tomorrow.
Could you please e-mail me your phone number, I lost it somehow and I so wanted to tell you something but could not put my hands on your number.
Thank you.
Annie
Pier-Luc,
are you trying to make me feel guilty about The Outsiders novel ?
So not working.
You WILL thank me when you`re done.
Welcome to the real world guys.
Don`t forget to eat your veggies even when you`re busy.
Gotta take care of that immune system.
The logo does not have to be in coloour. It does not reduce your chances of winning.
We are looking for the idea or representation behind the logo.
Colour is optional.
We will surely have fun with the sitcom.
You guys managed to have fun with the first oral and it was not supposed to be funny, imagine.
Tata,
Annie
Annie,
I'm enjoying it!! I'm not trying to make you feel guilty at all! And of course we did not forget to eat our veggies...
And you probably are right for the SitCom; we haven't agreed on the idea yet, but the hospital is the best so far! We decided our characters though! Marie will be the "nounoune", Jo will be the "Always Clean", I'll probably be the one who's not afraid of anything (Of Course, I'm the only boy in the team!(That was so sexist!, sorry if I did, I couldn't help it!)) and we don't know about Val...
So far, So good!
P-L's out!
Dear sweety little frog Ü,
It's with the same great pleasure that I read you each time. I didn't go on your blog since a long time so I had many articles to read! I'm still working on the guess of your age! MARRIED VERY YOUNG mean 18.. we can't marry under 18, aren't we? (I think we write it like thatt but I'm not sure! I want to say "n'est-ce pas?" anyway!) if you were a teacher in 1998.. I do want to know.. in which year did you start working at ESJN? I'll find your age you can be sure of that! Some of your last year' students said to me to bring blanket in my wallet for the trip to Ottawa. Is it that bad in there? :P They also said to me to bring an other pillow!
PS: Remember me the tittle of your favorite song of ACDC. I want to dowload it :)
PS²: I sometimes talk to my boyfriend in English to help him a little bit (he's in sport program) and her mother is so happy of it. I feel happy to know English.. I feel.. USFULL! There's the word! Even her mother ask me English stuff :)
